Overview

The Addressing Cost Efficiency Conference highlighted the learning and approaches from the CQC 2008 Efficiency Collaborative and a Medi-Cal plan efficiency initiative.  Conference attendees learned from collaborative participants and a national expert about successful strategies for engaging physicians, approaches to identifying inappropriate use of clinical resources, and interventions that work to reduce overuse.  The conference focused on reducing inappropriate use of the Emergency Department, but also offered examples and ways to address cost efficiency in other domains.
